I’m Back (Sorta)

It’s been a long time since I’ve blogged. Well, not that long, just a few weeks. Still, that’s a long time in blogging world. In all honesty, I wasn’t too busy. I had time to blog, but I just didn’t want to. I guess the blogging mojo left me for awhile. I had no desire to come online and blog about random stuff that I didn’t even think anyone wanted to read.

The inspiration left me. I had no idea what on earth to blog about. What was interesting in my life at that moment anyways? All I was doing was working and going to school. It has been a tough couple of months. I even considered just giving up blogging, since I don’t have any readers (that I know of) and I had nothing to blog about that was interesting. But, I am not going to be a quitter. I promised myself that I would stick through this. It was so much fun in the beginning, I just have to find more ways to make it as fun as it use to be.

Blogging is harder than I thought it would be. It is hard to come up with something witty and interesting that people will want to read about and continue to visit. I have never been that great with “selling” myself, but I’m sticking through this. Hopefully I will get my blogging mojo back and have something interesting to write about soon. If you are a regular visitor, thank you. I know it’s been a bumpy road, but I hope to get better at it soon. And if you are a regular visitor, please leave me a comment. It would motivate me even more to continue :)

Closing a Chapter

The picture above was taken about a year ago at Chili’s with one of my good friends and coworker. Sorry for the poor quality, but it is the only picture I have at work.

Whenever a chapter is closed in my life, I always feel sad. It’s letting go of the past and accepting new changes in the future. On Sunday, it was my last day at Chili’s. I did not expect it to be as sad as it actually was.

In all, it was a good job. I loved all my coworkers, but it was stressful. My anxiety levels were at a high from working there, and I knew that I needed to change that.

I know I made the right choice. It was a good move to leave and I am a lot happier already at my new job. It’s just really sad because I know I will not see some of my coworkers anymore. I am going to miss them.

Spring Fever

It feels like lately, I haven’t felt like doing anything at all. It always happens this time of year. After Spring Break is over, I completely enter into summer mode.

It is super hard to concentrate on classes and homework. I just don’t want to do it at all.

It’s also been super hard this week because I’ve been working two jobs. My last day at Chili’s is Sunday, and honestly I will miss my coworkers there so much. I know this new job will make me happier though. It’s just going to take some adjusting.

I just want to stay in bed all day. It would be so nice to not have anything to do for a whole day and not have anything to worry about. Now, I’m headed to work on my endless pile of homework.

When was the last time you had a lazy day? What did you do?

A Dog Day at the Park

A couple of days ago, my boyfriend, Dalton, and I packed up all three pups and headed to the park. They love going places, and now that the weather is warm we will have to do this more often!

When we loaded the dogs into the car, they immediately got excited!

Reesey couldn’t resist smelling the fresh air!

We had both windows rolled down for the big ones, but of course they had to fight over a single window! Everything is a competition with these two.

Bailey loved walking around for a few minutes, but then she got tired and had me carry her. She is such a little diva!

Reese had a blast. She looked so happy, I hated having to leave!

Peanut had fun too. She couldn’t help rolling around in the mud at the end of the trip though. I wish I had gotten a picture of it to post for you. She was filthy!

I think Dalton had the most fun out of everyone. I love that he loves my pups so much :)

Have a great Monday!

Friday Favorites!

It’s Friday again and you know what that means! Another Friday Favorites post! I’m loving these posts lately, and I’m going to try to start blogging every day starting next week! We’ll see how it goes, although next week might not be the best week to start since I will be working two jobs! We’ll see ;)

My new job at Gigi’s Cupcakes
You knew this was coming ;) I’m sorry if I have been talking about my new job too much this week, I know that can be annoying. I just cannot help it though for some reason. I guess it’s because this is a huge change in my life right now. I’ll try to tone it down though.

Jalapenos
I am seriously loving these this week. I have wanted them on everything lately. The spicier the better in my opinion!

New Changes!

Hey folks!! I am so excited that today I am finally able to share with you exciting news! I’ve been holding this in for a few days, and it has been very hard! I just didn’t want to post it on here before I told all the right people first just in case they read this blog. That wouldn’t have been a great idea, trust me. Anyways, enough rambling and now onto my exciting news.

Last Thursday, I went into a job interview for a bakery called GiGi’s Cupcakes. GiGi’s originally started in Tennessee, and they have spread with over 60 stores in 19 states. I was wanting to find a new job since things at my current job (Chili’s) were just not working out. In all honesty, they were not being flexible with my schedule and some of the employees treated me not so great. I was pretty desperate to find a job honestly. I was just unhappy and I needed a change in my life.

The interview went well (I had hoped anyways) and the manager said she would make her decision within the middle of the next week. Let me tell you, those next few days dragged by. I was so nervous. I had convinced myself that I would not get the job so that I would not be crushed.

I was sitting in class on Tuesday when all of a sudden, my phone started vibrating. I looked down to see that I had a voicemail from GiGi’s. That was torture. Class was not over for another hour, and it was killing me not knowing what the voicemail said. I don’t believe I even remember anything that was said in that lecture.

To make a long story shorter, I called them back after class, and I got the job!! This is going to be such a great job for me, since it seems to be less stressful and I have all Sundays off. I’m super excited for this, since I will be able to go to Church again!

I didn’t want to announce it on my blog because I just gave my two week notice at Chili’s yesterday. It was bittersweet. I honestly have a feeling that they knew it was coming, since they did not act surprised at all.

My last day at Chili’s is April 4th. I start training at Gigi’s next week, and I am super excited. I’m headed there today after class to fill out all of the paperwork so that it is official. I cannot wait for this new change in my life, since I really do feel like I will be happier. It will also be a plus staring at all those gorgeous cupcakes each day ;)

Have a great Thursday! :)
